Buyers can register for a free Membership on Solar Exchange where you can view auctions, place bids and buy materials and products. Buyers can also submit Request for Quotes (RFQs) to specific suppliers (Sealed RFQ) or to all suppliers (Open RFQ) and receive bids from suppliers on those RFQs.
Seller Membership pricing is published on the Plan & Pricing of SolarExchange.com. Seller Memberships are quoted at a monthly cost based on a one-year commitment.

Solar Exchange provides a trading platform for the solar industry where users can buy and sell direct materials and finished goods. Examples include silicon, wafers, cells, modules, inverters, racking, and other materials used in the manufacturing and installation of PV systems.

The Certified Member Program is available to all registered Buyers and Sellers of Solar Exchange. Becoming a Certified Member signifies to all trading partners that your company is an established organization within the solar industry, thereby providing greater buyer/seller confidence in trading activities.
9. How do I become a Solar Exchange Certified Member? +
The Certified Member Program is available to all registered Buyers and Sellers of Solar Exchange, depending on the Solar Exchange plan you select. When you select the Professional Plan or the Enterprise Plan, your enrollment into the Certified Member program is automatic. Members selecting the Basic, Promo or Standard plan can elect to become a Certified Member for an additional fee by simply clicking on the Certified Member icon on the SolarExchange.com homepage .
10. What do I receive when I become a Solar Exchange Certified Member? +
As a Solar Exchange Certified Member, a Certified Member logo will be displayed on your user profile, product listings, and buyer information pages. This logo signifies that you are an established organization within the solar industry, thereby providing greater buyer/seller confidence in trading activities. You will also have the right to display the logo on your company website that links to Solar Exchange website. Solar Exchange Certified Member auction listings will periodically be included in high profile “Featured Auction” pages where buyers will have focused access to your products.
11. What is required to become a Solar Exchange Certified Member? +
The Certified Member Program is available to all registered Buyers and Sellers of Solar Exchange. Your company will need to be an established business entity operating in good standing, within the solar value chain in order to become a Certified Member. Solar Exchange will review your business qualifications at time of application to ensure applicants pass basic criteria. Qualified applicants will receive a Certified Member logo, which will be displayed in your profile and other pages. You can either select the Professional or Enterprise plan to automatically enroll in the Certified Member Program. Escrow services available on the Solar Exchange site allows transactions to happen in a safe, secure and reliable manner over the Internet. The funds are held by Escrow.com until the buyer inspects and accepts the merchandise; or it receives the appropriate written or oral instructions to do so. The timing between winning an auction bid settlement through Escrow.com or directly with the seller, in conjunction with shipping/receiving determines when you will receive goods settled through Solar Exchange. We suggest you communicate with the listing seller for all goods that you would like to purchase through Solar Exchange to understand shipping terms and date of receipt.

All auction listings in Solar Exchange are established for settlement in US dollars. Should a seller desire to transact in Euros, Escrow.com allows settlement in both USD and Euros.

A Request for quote or RFQ is a method by which buyers can state specific purchase requirements to source goods based on specific terms. RFQs can be “Open” (available to all suppliers for quoting), or “Sealed” (available to only specific suppliers) for quoting. RFQs are an excellent and low-cost solution to sourcing materials and finished goods.

We allow users to rate the success and experience of their buying and selling transaction. Doing so allows the community to see how the success history of members participation. Membership licenses are granted on a “Named” basis and in accordance with our license agreement, access to Solar Exchange cannot be shared. If you need more than one access, consider alternative Plan options that are available on our Pricing and Plans page.
38. Why do I need to upload a copy of my business license to become a Member? +
We use business licenses as a form of validation to ensure that all applicants for Membership are qualified solar professionals. If uploading a business license presents a problem, please speak with our Customer Care team to come up with a reasonable alternative.
